The second appointment of the new “CloudFire Place” format was dedicated to a central theme for MSPs, System Integrators and IT managers: Backup and Disaster Recovery.

A meeting created to strengthen technical skills, share best practices and explore real scenarios related to data protection and business resilience.

We have chosen to develop this study together with our technological partner Acronis, also in light of the recent release of the new version of Acronis Cyber Protect on the CloudFire platform. An update that has materialized a simplification of the activation process, greater operational consistency for partners and a new billing model more flexible and transparent.

A day built together with Acronis

Despite being an event organized and led by CloudFire, we had the pleasure of hosting two key figures from Acronis:

  • Francisco Amadi, Partner Technology Evangelist, for the technical room;
  • Michele Tollin, Senior Strategic Partner Account Manager, for the sales room.

The presence of the vendor has made the comparison even more direct and concrete, allowing partners to Deepen both technology, both the strategic positioning of the platform in the Data Protection landscape.

The day alternated theoretical moments and practical sessions on:

  • Platform architecture and multi-tenant logic;
  • Types of backup and selection criteria;
  • Policy, retention and planning;
  • Design best practices;
  • Interactive demos on Backup and DR scenarios

The goal was not only”See how it works”, but understand how to properly design a Backup and DR solution and how to offer it consistently to end customers.

Skills growth and certifications

As we have designed the format, CloudFire Place is not only a moment of updating, but a concrete opportunity for professional growth.

In fact, the day ended with specific certification sessions on Backup and Disaster Recovery, which all participants successfully passed. A result that confirms how much targeted technical training can be transformed into real and immediately expendable competence.

Community, comparison and shared value

As with the first CloudFire Place, this event also focused on dialogue: open questions, case studies, requests for further information and direct discussion with the CloudFire team and with Acronis.

The format thus continues to consolidate as a space in which technology becomes an opportunity for relationship, growth and collaboration. Not only technical updating, but building an increasingly prepared and aware community of partners.
