As we know, the strenghts of the open source world are the community and the constant enthusiasm displayed in taking new challenges, in researching new technologies and in continually studying new solutions that prove to be quick and efficient. Collaboration is an indispensable step in the creation of new ideas. Being able to interact with a knowledgeable and willing partner is a trump card to be played well.

The meeting of two teams like CLASTIX and CloudFire embodies exactly this: two highly technological Italian entities with a strong enthusiasm for researching and proposing solutions that accelerate IT innovation and facilitate the adoption of cloud technologies by any organization, thereby maximizing efficiency and speed.

CloudFire – Roberto Bondavalli, CEO & Founder

To have found a company that shares our passion in developing new capabilities in the Cloud-Native world was something incredible. The complementarity of our realities allowed us to create a strong bond from the very beginning, enabling us to implement a Managed Kubernetes service directly on our infrastructure.

CLASTIX - Adriano Pezzuto, Founder

Roberto and CloudFire's determined team are a rare example of passion for innovation, combined with the Italian concreteness of knowing how to do things well. I am convinced that our two realities will together succeed in innovating the Italian Cloud Computing landscape with modern services and solutions, along with a robust and secure infrastructure hosted on the European soil.

The collaboration between the two companies has recently become more and more concrete. As a matter of fact, in recent months there has been no shortage of exchanges of views and proposals for new projects.

In particular, CLASTIX, a leader in multi-tenancy solutions for Kubernetes, develops open-source tools like Capsule and Kamaji, which are useful in simplifying the implementation of K8s at scale. These competencies and technologies have found fertile ground in the projects currently under development at CloudFire.

Kubernetes has become the de facto standard for running applications in the cloud, and both CloudFire and CLASTIX are well aware of the capabilities of this technology. By combining CLASTIX's expertise and products with CloudFire's infrastructure, we intend to create a unique and innovative Managed Kubernetes service offering in the Italian cloud computing landscape.

In order to achieve such vision, it is necessary to enhance skills to work with a single method and with an aligned knowledge. For this reason alone, CLASTIX held a theoretical-practical workshop on the main topics related to Kubernetes: from fundamentals, such as installation and configuration of clusters, through network and security management, to maintenance and monitoring of Kubernetes environments themselves.

We are confident that this collaboration will lead both CLASTIX and CloudFire to achieve the expected results. Until then, we will continue to study and engage in discussions on Cloud Native topics such as microservices, containers, DevOps, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-a-Code.

An event focusing precisely on these topics will be the Kubernetes Community Days Italy 2022, scheduled to take place in Milan on November 17th and 18th. CLASTIX is a co-organizer while CloudFire is a sponsor of the event. Now in its second edition, the event is endorsed by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), an international organization that brings together major ICT vendors with the aim of promoting and advancing the development of the Cloud Native ecosystem.
