Your data remains in Italy, and your costs remain predictable.

S3-compatible object storage, hosted in an Italian data center, with data transfers included. No egress fees, no fluctuating monthly costs. Only pay for the space you use.

Three problems that grow with data volumes

Unpredictable costs
Egress transfers accumulate with each restore. That invoice item is not fixed and depends on variables that change month to month.
Data leaving Italy
Where is my data? is a question you need to be able to answer precisely, whether asked by a client, an auditor, or management.
Compliance: Demonstrated, Not Declared
In regulated industries, verifiable documentation is essential. It's not enough to know that data is secure; you need to know who is safeguarding it, where, and with what certifications.

What's new with CloudFire's Scalable Object Storage?

Predictable Cost
You only pay for the storage you use. Data transfers are included, and the monthly cost is predictable.
Data in Italy
The service is hosted at the MI1 datacenter in Milan (Data4), ensuring data never leaves Italian territory.
Compatible with your stack
S3-standard API. Veeam, Acronis, rclone, and any S3-compatible SDK work out of the box.
Human Technical Support
When something doesn't add up, you talk to a technical person.

Object Lock and immutable backup

For those managing Veeam environments, Scalable Object Storage supports Object Lock in WORM (Write Once Read Many) mode: the backup written to the bucket cannot be modified or deleted for the configured retention period, not even by compromised administrative credentials, nor by ransomware that has reached the production environment.

Isolation and control, a bucket for every context

  • If you manage data for third parties: Each client has their own bucket with unique credentials. Client A cannot access Client B's data. Consumption per bucket is visible from the platform, allowing you to report costs per client and establish predictable resale pricing, free from hidden variables.

  • If you manage data for your systems: Separate environments for production, staging, and development. Dedicated buckets for CI/CD pipelines, training datasets, application assets, and aggregated logs. Each team or project accesses only what is relevant to them, without configuration overhead for every new context.

Technical support you expect from a partner, not a vendor

CloudFire's support model for tickets and professional services is managed by a technical expert who understands the architecture and will assist you with setup and configuration.

FAQ

Are data transfers included or pay-per-use with CloudFire Scalable Object Storage?

Included. You pay only for allocated space. No egress fees and no extra costs for read, write, or outbound transfer operations.

Does Scalable Object Storage data physically stay in Italy?

Yes. The service is delivered from the MI1 data center in Milan (Data4). Data never leaves Italy and is not replicated to infrastructure outside the EU.

Can I use Scalable Object Storage as a Veeam repository with Object Lock?

Yes. Scalable Object Storage supports Object Lock in WORM mode. It requires Veeam Enterprise licenses or higher for the Scale-Out Repository. The bucket must be configured with versioning and locking enabled before integrating with Veeam.

How do I isolate different environments or customers on Scalable Object Storage?

By creating separate buckets with dedicated S3-compatible IAM policies. Each bucket has its own access credentials, so isolation is guaranteed by design. It works both for separating different customers (MSPs and System Integrators) and for separating application environments such as production, staging, and development (Software Houses and IT departments).

Is Scalable Object Storage compatible with the tools and SDKs I already use?

Yes, with any S3-compatible client: Veeam Backup & Replication, Acronis, rclone, s3cmd, boto3, AWS SDK for all languages, Cyberduck, MinIO Client. No changes needed if you already use an S3 SDK.

Can I use Scalable Object Storage to store datasets, logs, or application assets?

Yes. The Ceph architecture is optimized for large volumes of unstructured data: AI/ML training datasets, aggregated logs, media assets, build artifacts, database backups. Throughput up to 100 Gb/s, scalability with no predefined limits.

Is there a maximum capacity limit for Scalable Object Storage?

No. The Ceph architecture is scale-out: capacity grows by adding nodes with no service interruption. For very large volumes or specific throughput requirements, a dedicated technical assessment is available.
