Accessibility Statement

Accessibility

CloudFire is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of their abilities, the technologies used, or their navigation methods.
Accessibility is part of the site's design and development process. For this reason, we carry out periodic verification and improvement activities for content, interface components, and interaction methods.

This statement applies to the website www.cloudfire.it

Compliance status

The website is partially compliant with the accessibility requirements adopted as a reference, based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
During the evaluation and adjustment process, the main templates and recurring components of the site were analyzed, addressing identified issues through both automated and manual checks.
Most of the analyzed features and components currently meet the verified requirements. Some limited restrictions remain, which are described below.

CloudFire continues its verification and improvement activities with the goal of progressively reducing any remaining barriers.

Accessibility measures taken

The adjustment activities focused in particular on keyboard navigation, focus management, the semantic structure of components, and their comprehensibility by assistive technologies.

Key measures taken include:

  • improvement of keyboard navigation and the navigation order of interactive elements;

  • introduction of a link to skip directly to the main content of the page;

  • improvement of visibility and focus management during keyboard navigation;

  • review of main navigation, mobile menus, and dropdown menus;

  • definition of appropriate accessible names for buttons, calls to action, and graphically represented controls;

  • verification of clickable cards and their interaction mode;

  • improvement of FAQ and accordion components, including the management of open/closed states and keyboard interaction;

  • accessibility verification of tab components;

  • improvement of slider and carousel components, including navigation controls and the management of rotating content;

  • improvement of galleries, lightboxes, modal windows, and popups, with particular attention to focus management and the ability to correctly close and exit components;

  • review of forms, input fields, selection controls, and related messages;

  • verification of video content and related controls;

  • improvement of social links, pagination, and other controls consisting primarily of graphical elements;

  • review of the navigation and semantic structure of the footer;

  • verification of content embedded via iframes and external embeds, including the information necessary to identify their content.

When an interaction pattern cannot be made sufficiently accessible, we prefer to replace or remove it rather than maintain a version that could create barriers during navigation.

Content and features that are not fully accessible

Despite the measures already taken, some features may still have residual limitations.

Specifically:

Content embedded from external services

Some content embedded via iframes or third-party services may not display a sufficiently visible focus indicator during keyboard navigation in all usage scenarios.
The accessibility of these elements may depend in part on the technical specifications and rendering methods of the external services used.

Certain graphical controls in special content

Some special or editorial pages, particularly certain content in the Year in Review sections, may contain graphical controls where the accessible name is not yet fully optimized.
A similar situation may affect some controls associated with multimedia content.
These elements have been identified during our analysis and are included in our upcoming verification and improvement tasks.

Evaluation process

This statement was prepared based on an internal assessment of the website.
The analysis covered over 100 pages of the site and the main recurring components and interaction patterns, using a combination of automated checks and manual testing.

The assessments covered, among other aspects:

  • keyboard navigation;

  • navigation order;

  • visibility and management of focus;

  • absence of keyboard traps during navigation;

  • structure and semantics of controls;

  • accessible names and states;

  • behavior of menus, accordions, tabs, sliders, and modal components;

  • forms and related controls;

  • multimedia content;

  • iframes and embedded content;

  • structural compatibility with assistive technologies.

Checks are repeated whenever significant changes are made to the site and as part of periodic maintenance activities.

Reference standards

For accessibility assessment and improvement activities, CloudFire uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 as a technical reference, with particular focus on the criteria applicable to level AA.
