Overview

Evoseed is a company that helps other businesses develop digital innovation projects in the telecommunications industry. By selecting the best ideas that meet genuine market needs, they propose solutions that truly serve!

Evoseed's mantra is to find ideas, nurture them, and launch them into a market where they are sure to be appreciated. Each project, referred to as a Seed, goes through various stages: from discovery, to consolidation, to the actual spin-off where the entrepreneurial idea with its characteristics takes on a life of its own.

One of these recent seeds that evoseed, and to some extent CloudFire as well, are focusing their efforts on is CloudTik.

Business Challenge

CloudTik arises from the need of WISPs, MSPs, and system integrators who use MikroTik devices. In particular, MikroTik routers are widely used tools with Enterprise-level features and functionality at a relatively low entry threshold. However, their versatility and reliability are hampered by a practical limitation: configuration and update management are often reported as problematic, compounded by a chaotic management panel.

CloudTik is a software as a service that enables remote management of configuration and maintenance of MikroTik devices. Management includes autoprovisioning, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting system, dynamic wizards and templates, not to mention daily automatic backup with versioning.

Since CloudTik is a SaaS, it can be added both on-premise and especially in the cloud. This is where CloudFire comes into play.

Basically, a project like this can face several challenges, mainly related to infrastructure, its resources, and especially network management. Regarding the first part, ensuring a solid and simultaneously scalable infrastructure to meet the necessary resources is a must-have for the vast majority of cloud applications.

The main difficulty of a project like CloudTik is related to network management, which is typically rigid and complex.

Solutions

Over the years, we have not only deepened the collaboration with evoseed, but we have also found a useful solution to guarantee all the resources that CloudTik needs in a dinamic and pay-per-usage way, along with a flexible and multi-tenant network management.

Through the Public Cloud service, evoseed, and thus CloudTik, has the ability to respond to any challenge or demand for resources and network.

For most cloud providers, network management by server is now an easy and run-in feature to implement. However, this does not appear to be true for sd-wan applications.

This is where CloudFire's Public Cloud makes the difference. Through the OpenStack-based infrastructure, you're able to get the flexibility and control of different network modes, regardless of them being floating IP or transparent in autonomous mode. Change is a just few clicks away!

Conclusion

CloudTik is currently going through its season of consolidation. Its primary goals are both the simplification of MikroTik management and the automation of the entire configuration process, in order to reduce time, costs and human mistakes. Thanks to the way it's structured and the goals it intends to achieve, CloudTik fully espouses CloudFire's approach and values. That's why the collaboration between the two has been bringing the desired results for both the envolved realities.

It is however quite reductive to only associate evoseed with CloudTik. As a matter of fact, it can rather be considered a nursery where ideas can be sowed and grown. In order to carry them out, it is necessary for them to rely on well founded partners, and in CloudFire we are ready to accompany them throughout this path! As a matter of fact, another project/seed is currently being tested. If such project were to reach the requirements of the "evoseed method", it would soon be available directly on our Marketplace!
