Pallex Italia is among main operators of logistics and pallet distribution on national territory, with a network structured on multiple interconnected hubs. Every day it manages highly synchronized flows of goods, to ensure fast and reliable deliveries throughout Italy.
The need to have fast, redundant and always available connections is essential to maintain the efficiency of the digital platform that governs every operational phase.
The challenge: overcoming the limitations of a network infrastructure that is no longer adequate
The previous network infrastructure was based on a traditional model that was no longer able to meet the operational needs of a rapidly evolving digital environment. La increasing complexity of logistics activities, combined with adoption of an entirely cloud-native management platform, required a clear change of pace.
To guarantee constant performance and continuity of service, the following became indispensable:
- stable and redundant connectivity;
- greater operational flexibility;
- the ability to monitor every node of the network in real time.
The risk of slowdowns or disruptions, even minimal ones, directly impacted the quality of customer service and internal productivity. It was therefore necessary to structured intervention to modernize the entire network architecture capable of ensuring constant performance, security and proactive control.
The solution designed by CloudFire
CloudFire has designed a tailor-made architecture to support the Pallex Italia operating model, with:
- dual connectivity for each location: primary line and backup (even on different operators);
- dual router and dual public IP, to eliminate every single point of failure;
- intelligent routing and automatic failover;
- advanced firewall with site segmentation;
- 24-hour monitoring and proactive technical support.
This architecture covered initially 5 operating offices, with progressive and expandable rollout.
